Firstly, hair thinning starts on top of the head and then around the temples. Thinning in this pattern may leave a horseshoe of hair around the sides and at the back of the head.

Hair Transplant 

The most common hair transplant procedures can be follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE).

FUT includes removing a part of the skin from the back of the head where hair is still growing. These sections are divided into smaller pieces known as grafts, and hence these grafts are then inserted into the parts of the scalp where hair isn’t growing.

FUE surgeons take healthy hair follicles out of the scalp, make small holes where hair isn’t growing anymore, and then put those healthy follicles into these holes.
